Tip of the day: How to brush your pet effectively
Start brushing from the bottom, and work your way up. Comb thoroughly after brushing to detect any matting or tangles you may have missed with your brush.
Brushing your pet on a regular basis can help prevent the necessity of shaving your pet because of matting. Some matting can be dematted, but sometimes the matting is so close to the skin that the groomer cannot get the matt out without a lot of discomfort for your pet. In this case, it is better to shave the hair and let the style grow back.
If you need to be shown how to brush your pet, just ask the groomers at Mutt Cuts by Nicole, LLC. They will be happy to show you the proper way to brush.
